About this scholarship

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging and promising area that proposes to turn every tangible entity (i.e., thing) into a node on the Internet. The ubiquity of mobile devices such as smartphones has elicited the emergence of the important domain of crowdsourced sensor data. This poses key challenges on storing, processing and managing continuous streams of IoT and crowdsourced sensed data.
  • In this project the primary focus is to harness the service paradigm as a key mechanism to manage IoT and sensor cloud services. It should provide novel smart services which benefit enterprises, industries, and our society. The candidates are expected to undertake a wide spectrum of research issues in the context of IoT and sensor cloud service management such as spatio-temporal composition, incentive models for crowdsourced services and IoT service mining for smart cities.
