Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Low hierarchy. Regular chats with partner, manager, etc. Lacking great social culture

Easy-going, not intimidating, inclusive

The company encourages socialising to promote the firm's culture and makes an effort to organise divisional social events, despite the lockdown and working from home.

While nonexistent in 2020, the time I have spent in the office comes with a regular after-work drink on a Friday, the firm is very social when it can be and offers social club events. In terms of teamwork there is minimal 'hierarchy' between junior and senior, from my personal experience the seniors are very willing and available to help out more junior staff when needed.

Relaxed, friendly culture with really friendly and approachable colleagues. Hierarchy is not apparent during day to day interaction, and employees at all levels are comfortable socialising with everyone. Good sense of cooperation and teamwork amongst the division, everyone keen to share the load

There is a lot of respect for each other at the firm no matter what level or division you are from. Everyone is very friendly and most of the time will be up for a quick chat in the kitchen or in the walkways. Since WFH this has been difficult to re-create, but Zoom calls and meetings always start and end with a quick catchup before getting down to the work. At social gatherings, everyone has fun but still very sensibly and responsibly. I have had the chance to see very social and fun sides of people I usually wouldn't get to interact with in the office. I admire how involved the firm is with social initiatives through the CSR committee. We always participate in worthy causes such as Liptember, movember, CEO sleepout and bring in speakers from these organisations to inform our people more about such causes.

In the office/work hours it would probably be no different to other professional service firms. People are friendly and are helpful. The structure can be a challenge when trying to work with people from other divisions. Whilst the work/life balance appears to be much better than most firms, it is still apparent the higher up you go, the more it is expected to do out of ordinary hours. The firm has adapted well to remote working.

The culture is one of the great attributes of ShineWing Australia. Everyone has access to each other, from partners to graduates. There is responsibility all round. However, with the audit division, we seems to be a few short, so seniors tend to be busier than usual. Events run throughout the year which aids socialising and the work environment is always friendly and a nice place to work.
