Pros & Cons

Having a tight network within the graduates in my division has been amazing as we support each other throughout our period of growth. The firm has worked hard to establish a healthy work-place culture that does well to motivate staff.
Great support especially during a tumultuous grad year due to COVID and working from home. I feel they've nurtured myself and other graduates to get the best possible experience in light of the challenging situation. Otherwise my colleagues really make it a welcoming place to work.
The firm culture has been the best thing about working for ShineWing Australia. The people are very friendly and approachable no matter how small or big the issue. The social gatherings and personal connections I have formed in a short time is what makes me love going to work more and more each day.
Very social and inclusive workplace that looks after its staff. Has extensive training to continue to develop your skills and knowledge. Very good at keeping us informed about what's going on in the firm.
The people, my team especially have been so supportive from day 1 and are always happy to teach me everything I need to know.

This year has been quite unique, however the long hours from working from home has made disconnecting from work rather hard.
Sometimes certain projects require long hours.
Can be a bit daunting at the start settling into a large firm with lots of people.
There are days when we have to put in some extra time to get the job done but the final result always makes the time worth it.
At the moment the division is a bit understaffed so we often have to perform tasks which are higher level - this is both a plus and minus given the extra learning opportunity

There is an application you put through answering questions and submitting your resume. Then there is a phone call screening, which then leads to a day to meet and spend time with ShineWing Australia and you get to hear from all types of people within the company (assessment centre). The day also includes a few routine tests and a chat amongst other interviewees and partners. If you are able to stand out, you get invited back for an interview. My interview was with a partner, one on one.
