Promotions are awarded on merit and work ethic. It may take approximately a year to two years to receive a promotion. But this is on a case to case basis. Each individual is considered.
Promotions are very time-based. Need to be very vocal about wanting to be promoted earlier than the norm.
Promotion possibilities after 2 years.
I am a consultant who has not been promoted as yet. However, I understand there are very specific guides on what it takes to move up the ranks. Also, it is good to have the reviewer/mentoring process to discuss with these people your career goals and how you can achieve them. Something that would be useful, would be to receive the feedback from Roundtables so you know what you need to improve on.
Promotion possibilities are quite clear cut, and they tell you the targets that they look for when looking at people to promote. This includes chargeable hours, years of experience and individual performance on projects.
If you're willing to put in the effort the company will reward you with a promotion. Typically, consultants can expect to be promoted to Senior Consultant after their 2 year mark.
