Culture at Optiver

8.6
8.6 rating for Culture, based on 18 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
In the office: Collegiate, relaxed, casual with a strong feedback and performance culture. Flat structure / hierarchy with juniors having lots of responsibility for how long they have been here. Everyone is willing to help each other and collaboration is strongly encouraged After hours: Good number of afterhours activities and socialising, people generally friends outside of work

Optiver has an amazing culture around learning and development. People are never hesitant to answer your questions or allocate a chunk of their day just to teach you something new and they don't judge you for not knowing something. Everyone who I have worked with has been really supportive.

There is a hierarchy but everyone has a voice and all opinions are considered. Good collaboration. Fun times at social events and after work on Fridays but hard when you finish late as lots of people have left by then

Hard working culture, sometimes long hours not rewarded. But still better than my previous roles in accounting.
